The IU Learn App

IU’s Learn App is your do-it-all online learning tool. Get 24/7 access to all of your study materials – videos, lecture notes, quizzes and podcasts.

The app features over 600 course scripts, and more than 14,000 interactive quizzes, so there are plenty of materials and tools for you to polish your knowledge and develop your skills.

The courses are divided into small units, ideally designed for an easy to digest learning process, with plenty of exercises along the way.

Digital lecture notes

Modern students need modern learning tools. No more printed books: from now on, you’ll be using a sophisticated e-book that will take your studying process to the next level.

Read, remembered, understood? Thanks to your digital lecture notes e-book, you can test yourself straight away. At the end of each study unit, you answer questions to check what you’ve learned. And you’re shown the answers straight after. You also have the option of taking digital notes, which you can save and access at any time. You can also use the e-book offline and synchronise it across all your devices.

With the e-book, you can:

Video lectures – Live or pre-recorded

One of the most important tools for your studies are the video lectures, where our team of highly-qualified and experienced professors will cover the course materials in an engaging way. In addition, some courses offer additional video tutorials where tutors will break down complicated terms and theories, and present case studies from real-world professional situations.

Depending on the study model you choose – online studies or on campus – you’ll be able to either:

  • Watch pre-recorded lectures at whatever time you want to, even in the middle of the night (online studies)
  • Or attend live lectures via a video call or live on Campus in Germany, in fixed times, along with other students (on campus)

Exam formats

100% Flexibility – Exams whenever and wherever you want

At IU International University of Applied Sciences, you decide when and where we test your knowledge: you can take your tests online in written or oral form, or in person at one of our 40+ examination centres across Europe.

Our online exams

We want you to perform at your best when taking your exams. Whether you’re a night owl or an early bird shouldn’t matter: your study programmes should meet your needs.

Different people are at their best at different times of the day or night. You should take exams at a time when you feel on top of your subject and in top shape. That’s why you can simply go online and book the slot you want for your exam. It could even be at 3 a.m.!

Here’s how it works:

  1. Log in
    Create an online profile with our service provider and book your desired exam slot.
  2. Check your equipment
    To start your exam, connect with the proctor, your online invigilator. The proctor will use the webcam to check your identity, your equipment and whether your workspace is set up appropriately.
  3. Take the online exam
    Now you can start scoring points with your knowledge. When you’ve completed your exam, end it by clicking the “submit” button and let the proctor know.

Done! You’ll get your results back in approx. Six weeks.
