Overview

Start your Master's degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology

The future of work is already here. Digitalisation, artificial intelligence tools and hybrid work models have all contributed to a new and different professional world. This has both positive and negative aspects, as some traditional professions are becoming extinct, and new jobs taking their place.

To help businesses and staff adapt to – and benefit from – these dramatic changes, business psychologists are becoming more common, and more in-demand. They bridge the gap between business administration, management, and applied psychology, and use all these tools to support businesses through transitional periods.

Be it as a consultant or a talent manager, as an M.Sc. Industrial and Organizational Psychology graduate, you’ll use economic proficiency, business psychology tools and a strong manager inclination to make companies excel in times of change and turn challenges to growth opportunities.

Course overview

Build on the business and economics knowledge you have from your undergraduate/Bachelor’s studies and focus on turning it into actionable skills. In the M.Sc. Industrial and Organizational Psychology programme, you’ll cover leadership principles, personnel motivation, and applied psychology, and then branch out to New Work concepts such as Agile work.

You’ll explore the aspects of change management and business psychology both from an in-company perspective and a customer facing approach, so that once you graduate, you’ll have more options when choosing the career you want to pursue.

Careers

Your Industrial and Organizational Psychology career outlook

Once you’ve successfully completed your M.Sc. Industrial and Organizational Psychology degree, you’ll have a wide range of international management options you could pursue as a career. Some of these roles include:

Recruiting/Talent Manager

As a recruiting/talent manager, you’ll be working at the contact point between traditional human resource management and public relations. Not only will you coordinate the application and hiring process for potential candidates, but you’ll also actively encourage potential applicants to join your company, by promoting its advantages both in business numbers and emotional impact.

Customer Relationship Manager

As a customer relationship manager, your goal is to nurture the connection between your company and its customers. To do this, you’ll have to analyse the purchase habits and behaviour of existing and potential customers, the current market situation, and the different stages customers go through in what’s referred to as their lifecycle. Based on your analysis, you’ll develop campaigns to retain your customers. You’ll plan, monitor, implement and evaluate the entire process, with the goal being to preserve customers for as long as possible.

Organisational Consultant and Developer

As an organisational consultant and developer, you’ll work either independentently or as part of a consulting firm and provide support for companies seeking to use technical consulting, systemic organisational development, and agile concepts. You’ll need to analyse and evaluate complex change situations in your clients' companies, advise them on the design and conception of corporate and cultural development initiatives, digitalisation initiatives and New Work technique implementation.
