Get your education up to speed - without having to wait

Everyone deserves a shot at getting a top-of-the-line education. At IU International University of Applied Sciences, it’s our mission to create inclusive, accessible education. And we certainly don’t think a high school diploma should stand between you and your dream career.

But sometimes you have to deal with setbacks — some obstacles just take a little more effort to overcome.

So we've created a new option. IU is now a registered online Cambridge International School. This one-of-a-kind certification from Cambridge Assessment International Education makes it possible for us to prepare you for the Cambridge exam. That way, you can get your high school diploma and start your Bachelor's degree at the same time.

Now you're in charge of your professional path

A-Levels is designed to maximise your learning potential and get you ready for what's to come during your Bachelor's. We’ve bundled the A-Levels courses together with our Bachelor’s programmes, so you can complete your high school diploma while already working on your first courses Bachelor's degree courses, at no additional costs.

Unlike other study pathway programmes offered by other universities, IU's A-Levels (in collaboration with Cambridge Assessment International Education) lets you earn your high school diploma while you work on your first Bachelor's degree courses, instead of spending 12 months or more on just bridging your knowledge gap.

To help get you started in today's job market, you'll be matched with either a Tech Track or a Business Track, to ensure your skills fit your chosen Bachelor's degree requirements.

The Tech Track

Each track contains 3 modules, which you’ll be taking along with your first Bachelor courses:

The Business Track

The track modules each contain 2 courses on a specific topic — for example, Mathematics AS & Mathematics A. And each course is planned with a workload of ~150 hours which you’ll conclude with an exam.

A-Levels FAQs:

How are you able to offer a high school diploma?

We are part of more than 10,000 Cambridge International schools that offer these qualifications. IU is registered as an online school that provides these courses digitally to prepare students for the Cambridge examinations.

Do I need any form of school certificate to start A-Levels?

No. The only requirements are to be more than 16 years old when applying, and to have B2 level English.

How does A-Levels work? What does it include?

To receive your high school diploma equivalent from Cambridge Assessment International Education, we recommend you pass the final exam within 12 months of starting the programme. However, you do have the option to extend the A-Levels track should you need more time.

We will provide you with all the necessary materials needed to prepare for the Cambridge examination. We provide this through synchronous (live) and asynchronous (recorded) teaching, scripts, Q&A, Slides, Videos, Podcasts, etc.

Do I have to pay anything to get my high school diploma?

The costs of the course materials for the final A-Levels exam are included in your IU tuition fees.

There is, however, an additional fee for your final exam, which will be charged by the examination centre of your choice. We recommend contacting your nearest examination centre for an accurate assessment of this fee.

What happens if I fail the final exam?

If you do not pass any or all of your exams, you can re-register and wait for the next date to take the exam again (by your own means). That means you have 2 chances of passing the final exam during the duration of your A-Levels. If you fail to pass the exam on your 2nd attempt, you can try again, by your own means and not as an IU member. You have unlimited chances of taking the exam independently.

How do I sign up for A-Levels?

All you have to do is fill out the application form on this page, and our study advisors will reach out to you to kickstart the process.

Where do I take my final A-Levels exam?

Cambridge operates over 2,800 examination centres in more than 130 countries around the world. You can take your final exam at any one of them.

Please note that if you can't reach an examination centre, you cannot complete the A-Levels track. To avoid any issues, we strongly recommend that you check your preferred examination centre and the fee they charge for the exam. It is your responsibility to find the appropriate location for your exam before you start A-Levels.
