Overview

Take the first step toward a successful IT career: Study DevOps and Cloud Computing at IU

IT expertise concentrated in a single degree program. The Master in DevOps and Cloud Computing is divided into two main sections: DevOps - the combination of software development (development) and IT operations (ops) - and cloud computing. You will also learn all there is to know about product development and agile software. The subject of cyber security will also be covered. Additionally, depending on your chosen study models, you can select one or two elective modules: For instance, laws governing IT security, orchestration of containers, continuous and lifecycle security, management of IT services and architecture, and product development and design thinking.

These and other basic IT competencies assist students in organizing and overseeing the DevOps culture in various organizations. So, by learning about DevOps and cloud computing, you're also improving business culture and assisting in the development of IT infrastructures that are adaptable, scalable, and automatable.

Careers

Your DevOps and Cloud Computing career outlook

Upon receiving your master's degree, you will be responsible for the management and planning of DevOps activities, as well as change management. Thanks to your scientific and practical expertise, you can find work in many exciting fields. For example as:

DevOps Cloud Engineer

You design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines. At the same time, you integrate the development infrastructure with the CI/CD pipeline and IT operations.  You provide an automated IT infrastructure for self-service. On a local or cloud computing basis, you incorporate monitoring and observability in software solutions. If there is a problem with the code, you can step in as a DevOps Engineer in the middle of the development process and also get an IDE (integrated development environment) up and running again since you are thinking in a broader picture.

DevOps/MLOps Consultant

As a technology consultant, you will guarantee the adoption of DevOps methods in your company. By doing this, you contribute to the development of agile process approaches for digitalization strategies. You master particular difficulties in specialized DevOps tasks like DataScience and Machine Learning. You will make sure, along with your colleagues, that these significant issues are adequately addressed in the increasingly digital environment.

(Multi-) Cloud Solution Architect

You concentrate on creating and designing needs-based cloud architectures. This means that you use unique cloud solutions and security principles to secure the data of your clients. On cloud platforms, you also design and deploy infrastructure as code, monitoring, logging, and auditing. You often collaborate with IT staff. Together, you will handle the migration of software and systems to the cloud as well as the sourcing of IT services.
