Most undergraduate degrees in computer science last 3 years (or 6 semesters) and are open to students with a recognised secondary school diploma. These programmes help you start your academic journey and gain foundational knowledge in theories and practical applications.

Core subjects usually include coding fundamentals, programming languages (Python, Java, and C++), data structures and algorithms, business and IT, data handling, network protocols, cybersecurity, software development and engineering, and product testing. In short, you'll cover a range of bases with a BSc in computer science.

Computer science-related master’s programmes typically take 1 to 2 years, depending on the university and credit load (60 or 120 ECTS). You can apply to them if you already have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and want to specialise in high-demand areas or advance into leadership roles.
