Professor of B.A. Business Administration

Profile
Prof. Dr. Silke Jütte is Professor of Quantitative Methods at IU International University of Applied Sciences. She has a background in business mathematics and logistics, and earned her doctorate with research on crew scheduling for freight train drivers. Before moving into academia she worked for several years as an operations manager at a large logistics provider and as a software developer and project manager at a management consultancy. Her academic focus spans mathematics, statistics, operations research and research methodology, and her published work covers scheduling algorithms, renewable energy capacity planning and the teaching of mathematics. A recent strand of her research examines how students across different programmes are using AI as a study partner in mathematics education.
