Prof. Felix Weber
Professor of B.Sc. Computer Science

Profile
Felix Weber is a cognitive scientist and an enthusiastic lifelong learner, fascinated by how people acquire knowledge and develop skills while making effective use of technology and software. He is particularly interested in the opportunities, challenges and potential arising from recent developments in machine learning. His research explores how artificial intelligence can support feedback and assessment in educational settings, and how advances in large language models are changing the way people learn. He examines how these technologies influence learning processes, and how learning environments need to evolve in order to use their capabilities effectively and responsibly. In his teaching on the Computer Science and Data Science programmes, he designs learning experiences that harness the potential of AI while keeping meaningful human learning at the centre.
