Prof. Christian Müller-Kett
Professor of B.Sc. Computer Science & M.Sc. Computer Science

Profile
Christian Müller-Kett is Professor of Data Science at IU International University of Applied Sciences, where he teaches on the Bachelor and Master programmes in Computer Science and on the Bachelor in Data Science. His work sits at the intersection of artificial intelligence and geospatial analysis, exploring how algorithms learn patterns and transfer them to new situations to produce reliable predictions. A recurring theme in his research is spatial location, a characteristic present in many datasets but rarely given the attention it deserves in modern AI research. Through projects such as Geospatial Adoption and Sentimentor, he adapts recent developments in machine learning to geospatial and language-based questions, from housing valuation models to sentiment analysis of online discussions about digital learning.
Research Areas
Geospatial data science
Urban analytics
Cutting-edge technologies in practice
Spatial context in machine learning models
Sentiment analysis and natural language processing
