Profile
Prof. Dr. Arash Asiaei is a Professor of Cloud Computing and Data Analytics at the Department of IT and Engineering at IU International University of Applied Sciences. He holds a PhD in Information Systems (Cloud Computing) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, where his research focused on digital transformation and cloud adoption strategies.
Before joining IU, Prof. Asiaei was a researcher at Furtwangen University, contributing to cloud-based predictive analytics solutions for data-driven manufacturing. He also brings extensive industry experience as a Business Intelligence Developer and Data Analyst, working with technologies including Power BI, SQL, Azure, and AWS.
His teaching combines practical, hands-on learning with industry-relevant tools to prepare students for careers in data and cloud technologies. His research focuses on Cloud Computing, Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, and Data-Driven Manufacturing, with publications in leading international journals covering digital transformation, sustainability, and advanced manufacturing.
