You’ll start your degree online at IU and apply to study on-campus at one of our partner universities during your final semesters.
When you’ve completed your studies, you’ll receive a degree from the partner university

Study Abroad Alliance: FAQs

Am I eligible for the Study Abroad programme?

You must meet the following criteria at the time of your application to one of our partner universities:

  • Be enrolled at IU as a student
  • Completed one or two years of studies at IU (depending on your degree programme) with a pass in all courses
  • Have proof of English skills
  • Meet the relevant admissions criteria at the partner university

How can I apply for the Study Abroad programme at IU?

What do I need to prepare for my application to the partner university?

  • Check out the application process on the IU myCampus platform
  • Official transcripts in English (with signature & stamp of home institution)
  • Proof of English proficiency:
    - TOEFL IBT: 69 (Bachelor/GCB) & 79 (Master)
    - IELTS: 6.0 (Bachelor/GCB) & 6.5 (Master)
  • Valid passport copy (copy of ID preliminarily sufficient)

Which degree programmes can I study?

Which degree will I receive at the end of my studies?

You will receive a degree from our partner university when you graduate. Once you’ve successfully transferred to your chosen partner university during your final year, your study contract with IU will end.

Will IU assist in my student visa application abroad?

IU is only facilitating the application process for the partner university. Should you require assistance relating to your application or student visa, please reach out to the partner university advisory team directly.

Does the IU Scholarship cover my final semesters abroad?

No, the IU Scholarship will only be applied to your tuition fees for your online study period at IU.
