Future Students

At IU, we always enhance your experiences

Helping someone is its own reward, but at IU, we like do things a little differently. So when you introduce your friends, family or colleagues to our study programmes — and they successfully enrol — you win too.

If you’re not yet enrolled, this is how it works

Spreading the word

You’ll get your referral email just after your first month with us. You can then share your IU email with your network.

Decisions, decisions

Whenever someone you’ve recommended chooses their study programme, they can enter your details on the application form.

It’s always a win-win

When someone you’ve recommended successfully enrols at IU, you receive a €100 voucher for every time.

Friends make great classmates

Pursuing an education doesn’t have to be a lonely time for you. At IU, you can surround yourself with like-minded people. Studying with friends makes everything from planning your coursework to keeping yourself motivated that much easier.

And here’s how it works if you’re already at IU

A message worth sharing

Show your people what IU has to offer — from our top-of-the-line programmes to discount offers and more. After your first month, you'll automatically qualify for a referral email.

New journeys begin

The people you’ve recommended can start their application process right away by clicking the link and filling out the application. All they need to do is add your information in the referral section.

Time to celebrate

Once they're successfully registered, you can start studying together — which is cause for celebration if you ask us. Meanwhile, you'll receive a €100 voucher for every person you’ve helped.

Do's and Don'ts

Bringing a friend is easy

Consider the following points when applying:
  • Please make sure you've signed up to get the most up-to-date information on your favourite programmes. Please ensure that you are still successfully enrolled with us.
  • It's important that the people you recommend use the same email address that you used to register with IU or your official IU email address if you are currently enrolled.
  • The person you refer must be new to IU and not already registered in our system.
  • You cannot combine this campaign with other IU campaigns.
FAQs

Get some answers before you get started

Am I eligible to refer friends to IU?

To participate in our referral program, you must be enrolled and have completed at least one month of your studies. If you're not enrolled, you'll only be considered once you’ve applied for a study programme.

Where can I find my referral email?

If you're currently enrolled, you will automatically receive the referral email through your IU student email after one month. If you’re not yet enrolled but have applied, you'll receive it through the personal email address you used to sign up with IU.

If you’re currently enrolled at IU and qualify but haven't gotten your referral email, please contact us at service-online@iu.org. If you’re not yet enrolled, please reach out to study-online@iu.org.

When can I expect to receive the voucher?

Whether you’re already enrolled or waiting for your application response, you'll still receive the €100 online voucher shortly after the person you referred successfully registers and completes their first month at IU.

Is there a limit to how many people I can refer?

There is no limit to how many people you can refer, so go ahead and refer as many friends as you like. You will continue to receive rewards in the form of vouchers for every person that successfully registers, completes their first month of studies and successfully continues their education at IU.

I’m still not sure how it works. Who should I talk to?

If you’re already enrolled, please reach out to our team at service-online@iu.org. And if you’re not yet enrolled and still have unanswered questions, contact us at study-online@iu.org.
