CAREER OUTLOOK
With a degree in Finance and Accounting Management, you’ll acquire the specialist knowledge required for taking a managing role in the global investment advisory industry. Your enhanced understanding and insight could lead to a position in finance in roles such as chief financial officer (CFO), treasurer or financial treasurer. In accounting, you could head into roles like chief treasurer or controller in a multinational corporation, auditing or consulting firm.
Risk Manager (m/w/d)
There are always certain risks associated with major business decisions. Your job as a Risk Manager is to analyse these risks. For example, if you work in a bank, you assess credit risks before making a loan decision. For mergers and acquisitions, you examine whether they will result in the desired outcomes. And if a company wants to bring a new product to market, you carry out detailed analysis of the competition and financial risks. Your goal is to identify and evaluate potential risks and to develop scenarios to avoid them.
Financial Controller (m/w/d)
As a Controller, you are responsible for measuring the profitability of the entire company using KPI systems. You identify risks, weaknesses and potential for improvement in the company, but also identify opportunities to develop and evaluate solution concepts. You’ll often work closely with specialist departments and will take the reins in implementing change, recording progress and evaluating success—proposing adaptation measures as necessary.
Compliance Officer (m/w/d)
As a Compliance Officer, you have a controlling and supervisory function within a company. You are responsible for developing an organisational structure in which employees can comply with legal regulations. You introduce control mechanisms through which violations of these regulations can be detected. And you inform employees about legal requirements and provide training in this area.
