Meet Martin Maduka Ejeagwu
Lecturer at IU, Teaching Computer Science, Web Application Development, & Data Utilization
Martin is the quintessential “make-it-in-Germany” success. Hailing from Nigeria, Martin came to Germany via Japan in the late 1990s. He immediately started working towards his academic aspirations. A German education transformed Martin’s life. After his Abitur (High School Diploma) Martin pursued his academic dream of obtaining a Master’s degree from the University of Paderborn. Over the past 10 years Martin has gained valuable working experience in various multi-national companies both in Germany and Switzerland, holding senior positions such as Lead Business Consultant & Requirement Engineer for Portal Technologies, at AXA.
Martin has gained useful industry relevant skills which he now passes on to the younger generation through lecturing. His accomplishments include launching a stable integrated CRM system at Swiss Life Insurance, as well as significantly reducing downtime and optimising performance of the transfer portal at AXA. Due to his passion for passing on his knowledge and experience in the field, Martin has taught at several German universities, and is currently inspiring students at IU.
Meet Prof. Dr. Thomas Zöller
Programme Director B.Sc. Data Science at IU
Prof. Dr. Zöller teaches data science at IU. His research revolves around advanced analytics and artificial intelligence, and their relation to digital transformation. Prof. Dr. Zöller studied computer science and mathematics at the University of Bonn, where he also obtained his PhD in Machine Learning for Image Processing.
He spent the following years developing his dissertation in various application-based research roles, in institutions such as the Fraunhofer Society.
Prof. Dr. Zöller has held several different positions in his professional career, working on business intelligence, advanced analytics and AI in a wide variety of sectors, from finance to the auto industry.
